We are here to give you ease of access to addiction specialists, so that you receive the guidance and medication you need to recover.

Dr. Matt had a few health issues when he was younger and got to work with several doctors that became role models to him. He loves working with people and is fascinated by the human body. Family medicine allows him to follow in the footsteps of his role models in providing excellent care while working with people of all ages in their quest for good health.

Dr. Matt received his DO and MPH from Touro University in Vallejo, CA and completed his residency training at PIH Health Hospital in Downey, CA. He is a board-certified Family Physician.

Noelle is a Huntington Beach native who became interested in medicine after volunteering at the Huntington Beach Community Clinic as a high school student.  After college, she attended Western University of Health Sciences and obtained her Physician Assistant license.  She has worked in family medicine, women’s health, pain management, and substance abuse research but has special interest and training in addiction medicine.  She is very happy to have joined the Elevated Recovery team where she hopes to make a difference in patients’ lives.  

Dr. Steph has a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Purdue University. She has worked in university counseling, primary medical care, cancer treatment, and in private practice. Her areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, PTSD, death/dying/bereavement, chronic pain, and chronic health issues. She will help you develop effective coping strategies, manage chronic health conditions, and improve your quality of life. Dr. Steph is passionate about her work and looks forward to meeting you!

Daniel has worked in healthcare for nearly 10 years. He graduated from Cal State University, Long Beach with his Bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration. He has worked in a lot of diverse healthcare settings including a rural health center, psychiatry, urgent care, and family practice. He has spent the last three years at Elevated Health and has played a vital role in Elevated Recovery since the very start!

Kelly previously worked at UCI Medical Center as a Certified Nurse Assistant for a total of 7 years. When she was in high school, she obtained her certification through an accelerated extracurricular program called ROP. She started out at UCI by working in the Inpatient Neuropsychiatric department and after 1 year, she transferred to the Oncology/Telemetry department, where she stayed for 6 years. She recently decided to continue her education to become a Medical Assistant, again through ROP. After completing her externship with us, we are now happy to introduce her as part of the team.

Shari Hanson is the receptionist at Elevated Recovery and loves helping people.  Shari graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Mass Communication.  She has lived in the Huntington Beach area for the past 16 years with her husband, four sons and their rescue doggy.  While working in the office is her primary job function by day, Shari also enjoys photography and going to Disneyland as often as possible.
